About me
29 year old Singer/Actor/Musician from Portsmouth Virginia. In April-May of 2005, Damian had his New York acting debut in the play "Every Dog Has His Day" written and directed by Dana Hubbard (Will A Man Rob God) in which he played ''Lucky'', a stuttering sidekick to murdering mobster named Max (played by Michael LeMelle). Since, he has worked with M.Y.N.T. (Malik Yoba National Theater Company) for the play "What's On the Hearts of Men" in Miami, Fl. starring Malik Yoba and co-starring Michael LeMelle of Norfolk, VA. Damian has also worked as Production Assistant in "If This Hat Could Talk"; the story of Dr. Dorothy Height and the unsung she-roes of the civil rights movement. "Leaving The Wilderness" in November of 2005; a true story of how God delivered a woman from the bondage of domestic violence. Damian even worked security for actress Dawnn Lewis (A Different World) in the play "The Fifth". Damian has worked in the studio with gospel great (and his godfather) Min. Daryl Coley. Vocally, Damian has been into gospel music from an early age. At 12 years old, he became the organist and choir director at The New Beginning Christian Center, pastored by his grandmother. He was director of his high school gospel choir (I. C. Norcom High School) from 1994-1998. He was a member of the Voices of Inspiration Gospel Choir of Norfolk State University under the direction of Min. Patrick Riddick (2000-2002) and Min. Alvin Rooks Jr. (2002-2004). Damian graduated from Norfolk State University in 2004 with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies - Music Education - Instrumental, and a B. A. in Music Media. Damian also, during high school and college, sang with Shekinah Glory Outreach Ministries under the direction of Rev. Antwan L. Jones and Min. Ivan Pretlow; Totally Satisfied With Christ; and Chosen Aggregation directed by Min. Lamont Bynum. Damian is a member of Gethsemane Community Fellowship Church in Norfolk, VA under Pastor Kirk T. Houston Sr. and serves as the Minister of Music and head of the music department at his grandmothers' church; The New Beginning Christian Center in Norfolk, VA. Currently, Damian is in the process of recording his first solo gospel project to be released in 2007. This project is blessed with the gifts and talents of some of Hampton Roads greatest: A-Tune (producer), B Junior (producer), Ray J. Pope (producer), Chris Booker (producer), Min. Alvin Rooks Jr. (songwriter), Kavoris Fruster (songwriter), Christopher Cox (songwriter/vocals), Micheal LeMelle (songwriter), and will feature some great vocalists of the area. From July 1st to September 26th, Damian will be traveling the country working on the American Idol Live tour 2007. Damian's traumatic upbringing is the fuel and fire for his ministry (please read blogs) and is his testimony to how, with GODS love, YOU ARE A SURVIVOR AND AN OVERCOMER!!!
